GMC Girls Golfers Qualify for OHSAA State Championship


When the smoke cleared in the girls OHSAA District Golf Tournament held at Glenview on Tuesday, October 11th, the Greater Miami Conference did not qualify any complete teams to the OHSAA State Championships; however did qualify three of the GMC's best golfers as individuals.  In the OHSAA qualifying format, the top three scoring teams qualify to the state championships and then the next best three individuals who did not play on those top three qualifying teams.

The Greater Miami Conference will be proudly represented in the OHSAA State Championships by:

Natalie Sompolvorachai from Lakota West shot a qualifying round of 78, Vivienne Su from Mason shot a qualifying round of 80, and Orchid Wang from Sycamore also shot a qualifying round of 80. Leaders on their respective teams all season,  these three outstanding athletes were additionally first team All-GMC.

The OHSAA State Girls Golf Championships will be held on Friday, October 21st and Saturday, October 22nd on The Ohio State University "Gray" Couse in Columbus, Ohio.
