Mason Boys Swimming / Diving Reclaim GMC Title


In a battle of program depth, two of the state's top boys swim programs battle it out Saturday in the GMC Swimming and Diving Championships held a the Mason High School Aquatic Center.  The Mason Comets outlasted a very talented Sycamore Aviator team to reclaim the GMC Swimming and Diving Championship by a score of 593 to 468. This is the third GMC title in the past four years for the Comet crew.

Next up for Mason is the Sectional Championships, with Diving on Tuesday, Feb. 7th and Swimming on Friday, Feb. 10th.

Greater Miami Conference Champions 2017

As an additional recognition for a job well done, in a vote by opposing coaches, Ethan Devyak (Mason) was named as the GMC Boys Swimmer of the Year.

Oak Hills Head Boys Swim Coach, Katie Hunter, was selected by her coaching peers as the GMC Boys Swim Coach of the Year. Nice job Coach Hunter!

Congratulations to all GMC boys swim/dive teams for a very competitive championship and best of luck in the sectionals ahead.
