Sycamore Aviators Finish Strong Third In the OTCA State Team Finals

The GMC Runner-up Sycamore Aviators boys tennis squad fought through the tough Southwest District to earn a spot in the OTCA "Final Four" team championships. This demanding path included a "rubber match" 3-2 win over conference rival and GMC Champion Mason that catapulted the Aves in that coveted "Final Four" position, but it was in their first match up in the "Final Four" that the magical ride ended for the Aves as they met their match against the highly rated University School.  Undeterred by this setback, the Aves, showing great character and resiliency, rebounded with a team win over St. Johns to capture third place in the OTCA state team championships.

The Sycamore Aviator boys tennis team displayed great work ethic throughout the season and persevered through the numerous challenges they face during the 2017 season. Having a great competitive spirit, they played hard right down to the last serve of the season!  Congrats to all the Aviator tennis athletes and Head Coach Mike Teets.
