Mason Comet Softball Rally Falls Short In Regional Final Loss to Lebanon

In a softball showdown of monumental proportions, two of Ohio's best programs went toe to toe in the regional finals as the Mason Comets and the Lebanon Warriors squared off. When the dust settled, the magical Mason Comet season had come to a 7-3 end. Leaving numerous Comet baserunners stranded, the Lebanon Warriors continually dodged the Mason bullets to pull out the OHSAA Regional title.  Being an OHSAA Regional Final participant is nothing new for either Mason or Lebanon with those two outstanding programs doing battle on a regular basis each spring.

With an undefeated GMC season, the Mason Comet Softball program put together a season to remember, finishing 18-0 and winning the GMC Championship on the very last week of the regular season. Adding to the Comet accomplishments were three straight post-season victories where they scored 34 runs and gave up 0. The Comets defeated Anderson 13-0, Little Miami 8-0 and Springboro 13-0 on their way to the Lebanon collision. The Mason Comet softball program amassed a season record of 26-4 against an incredibly demanding schedule.

Congratulations to the Comet softball team and coaches for a job extremely well done! GMC proud of the manner in which you represent the conference!
