Mason Boys Golf Headed Back to OHSAA State Championships

Mason Boys Golf continued to “keep believing” and put together a strong team effort at the Southwest OHSAA District Championships at Glenview on Thursday. Posting a tournament third best 308, the team was one of three area teams who punched their ticket to the Ohio High School State Tourney. This will be the Comets first State team appearance since 2012, a great accomplishment and the result of an immense amount of work and sheer determination.

Thursday was a day of great shot making and clutch putting at the expansive Glenview GC. There are 27 holes at the course as the East Course served as the front nine, while the South Course was the back nine. The back tees were used, meaning the event played more than 500 yards longer than the Greater Miami Conference tournament that was held at Glenview last month.

Jack Soper finished with a team best score of 74.  Jake Amannand Cameron Madden also finished in the 70’s shooting 76 and 78, respectively.  See all scores  below:

Junior – Jack Soper– 74
Junior – Jake
Amann– 76
Junior – Cameron Madden – 78
Senior – Charlie
Woolson– 80
Senior – EM-J
Galang– 89

Good Luck to the Mason Comets in Columbus!
