Mason Boys Swimming Depth Outduels Sycamore for GMC Title

In a very evenly matched meet, it came down to Mason's extraordinary depth to carry the day in the GMC Swim Championships. Sycamore's boys swim program has always been pushing the Comets each year for the conference crown and this year was no exception. When the smoke had cleared at the conclusion of the meet, the Sycamore Aviators brought home 7 GMC titles and 3 second place finishers, while the Mason Comets claimed 2 first place honors and 6 second place finishes. However, for this meet, the telling points lay down the line from first and second place. It is here where Mason piled up the additional points that spelled victory. This GMC title is Mason's third straight and fourth of the last five. Prior to that Sycamore had won four consecutive titles.

Team point totals were: Mason 542, Sycamore 448, Lakota West 305.5, Oak Hills 207.5, Lakota East 166, Princeton 124, Fairfield 108, Middletown 69, Hamilton 52, and Colerain 47.
