Lakota East Wins Fifth Consecutive GMC Boys Golf Title

The Lakota East Thunderhawk boys golf team lead wire to wire in winning its fifth consecutive GMC Golf Championship over the Mason Comets.  This two-day, 36 hole event played at Walden Ponds Golf Course, provided a great spring board for "the second season" that is on the immediate horizon.  One that ultimately and hopefully ends in Columbus at the OHSAA State Championships. Lakota East dominance came from not only the outstanding medalist play of three time "GMC Golfer of the Year" Kyle Schmidt, but also the overall quality depth of this squad which placed all six golfers in the top 15 finishers.  In recognition of his program leadership, Head Coach Jeff Combs was selected by his peers as the GMC "Coach of the Year".
