Mason Boys and Girls Tennis Head Coach, Mike Reid, Earns OATC State Boys COY Honors

10/05/2018

Mason BOYS Head Tennis Coach, Mike Reid, is the recipient of the Ohio Tennis Associations highest honor as the 2018 Ohio BOYS Tennis Coach of the Year.

Last Spring, Reid, who is also the Mason girls head coach, guided his Comet Boys to their first-ever OTCA State Team Championship.  Mason boys tennis was the #1 ranked team in the State last season. He is now officially nominated for the prestigious National Coach of the Year recognition.

Ironically, and maybe for the first time in Ohio HS tennis history, Reid guided the Mason girls to their first-ever OTCA State title in the fall of 2017.  They also finished the season as Ohio's top team.

Reid's 2018 girls’ team this fall is currently ranked #1 in the State and vying for another State Team Title.   The girls are 19-1 overall and have already won their 6th overall GMC title (4 in a row).

CONGRATULATIONS COACH REID ON THIS SPECIAL HONOR!
