Mason Boys Cross Country Wins OHSAA Regional

Mason Boys Cross Country Wins 5th Regional Championship

The Mason Boys Cross Country team had a great day at the Regional Championships in Troy on Saturday. Most importantly, the Comets secured their 12th consecutive berth at the State Championships. The Comets won their third regional championship in the last four years (5 total Regional titles). 

Mason combined great running by their top 3 runners with solid fourth and fifth man running to score a 46-55 victory over St. Xavier. The Comets were led by Senior Isaiah Kelly, Junior Johan Meyer, and Junior Micah Champagne all finishing in the top ten. Senior Jagger Vetter ably held down the fourth man spot while Sophomore Austin Cooper ran a superb race as the fifth man. Sixth and seventh men Freshman Alex DeRoussel and Senior Brogan Doran also turned in fine efforts. 
MASON BOYS will compete in the State Championships at the National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio next Saturday, November 3rd. 
The Boys CC team will be seeking their programs third overall State Title after winning championships in 2008 and 2014.
