GMC Girls Soccer Top Honors Go To Fairfield's Alexis Goins (AOY) and Mason's Andy Schur (COY)

Girls soccer in the Greater Miami Conference is amongst the very best in Greater Cincinnati in all of Ohio.  Playing very competitive schedules, these contests bring out the best in GMC athletes and coaches. 2018 was no exception, with an extremely tight conference race finally going to the Mason Comets in the last week of the season with the Fairfield Indian and Sycamore Aviators nipping at their heels. The Mason Comet contingent proceeded through the OHSAA Tournament schedule, winning Sectional and District championships, before finally bowing out in the OHSAA Regional Finals to Beavercreek 3-0.

Post season honors went to Alexis Goins of Fairfield as the "Athlete of the Year" and Andy Schur from Mason as the "Coach of the Year".  Both individuals were selected in a vote by conference coaches. DICK'S Sporting Goods appreciates the performances of all GMC student-athletes and coaches, especially those selected as the "best of the best".
