Mason Girls Swimming Wins Fourth Consecutive District Title

On Saturday at Miami University, the Mason Girls Swim team successfully defended their Southwest District title for the 4th consecutive season, easily outdistancing runner-up Ursuline by over 50 points. The win was Mason's 6th overall District Championship, continuing a local swimming dynasty with 6 titles in the past 7 years. 

All 17 Comet girls had an outstanding meet as sophomore Reese Lugbill and senior Leanna Wall led the team. Reese won the 200 IM &  finished 2nd in the 100 Breaststroke, while Leanna won the 100 Freestyle and was 2nd in the 200 Freestyle.

All 3 Relays won! The 200 Medley Relay set a new District Record!

Mason qualified 9 swimmers to State this Friday & Saturday in Canton. The Mason girls are the defending State Champions and seeking to make it back to back titles!
