Lakota East Girls Athletes Capture OHSAA State Track Titles

On its way to the OHSAA Girls Division I State Championship, the Lakota East cause was definitely bolstered by the efforts of Kaylyn Heath who won the state 100 Meter Dash title in a time of 11.93 seconds. Following Kaylyn title, came the 200 meter championship recorded by Serena Clark, who logged a winning time of 24.09.  The Lakota East sprinters followed up the individual race efforts with a Division I state record 400 meter relay win by logging a 45.82 second relay time. The 400 Meter relay team of Hilton, Heath, Bryant and Clark not only set the state record but also set an all-division 400 meter relay state record.

The Princeton Viking 400 Meter relay team of Rencher, Jordan, Riep and Braddix finished a strong second with a time of 46.97 seconds.

Congratulations to al the GMC girls track programs for their efforts in the state championships.  Job well done!
