DICK'S Sporting Goods Recognizes GMC Boys Golf Standouts

DICK'S Sporting Goods again steps up to recognize and appreciate the outstanding of the 2020 GMC golf standouts.  The Greater Miami Conference "Athlete of the Year"  is Mason's A.J. Wilhelm, a sophomore phenom who shot a sizzling two-round total of 135 to take medalist honors in the GMC Championships this past week.  He posted a GMC record one round record of 65 followed by his GMC record two-day total of 135 to best the previous record of 136 set by Lakota East's Kyle Schmidt in 2018.

In a vote of his GMC head coaching peers, Mason's Tim Lambert was selected as the Boys Golf "Coach of the Year".  Leading Mason to their second boy's GMC golf title, Coach Lambert brought the conference crown back to "Comet Land" after a seven year absence. With an extremely young squad, the future Comet golf looks very bright.
