GMC Girls Tennis Well Represented in the OHSAA District Tournament


Greater Miami Conference girls tennis is amongst the very best in all of Ohio.  The conference will be well represented this week as our singles and doubles teams vie for another step on their way to a state title. Conveniently, the OHSAA Southwest District Tournament is being held at the Lindner Family Tennis Center, which will also serve as the site for the OHSAA State Championships next week.  Proudly, the Mason Comet tennis contingent are the two-time defending state champions and more than ready to attempt a "three peat" performance.

2020 Girls Southwest District Tennis Tournament

Instructions to Qualifiers:
1. All players and coaches report to Lindner Family ATP Tennis Center in Mason; coaches
meeting at 8:45, play starts at 9:00 AM on Thursday, October 15, 2020. A coach or official school representative must be present for players to participate. Due to the pandemic, there will be no food truck this year for districts.

2. There will be a brief coaches meeting at 8:45 AM with play on 16 courts to follow. Two rounds will be played on Thursday and two on Saturday. Order of Play: D2 and D1 singles at 9AM, D2 then D1 doubles to follow on open courts.

3. There will be Four(4) singles and Four(4) doubles teams in both divisions I and II to qualify for the State Tournament at the Lindner Family Tennis Center on Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24. District semifinals and finals will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020.
