GMC Represents Well in Southwest District Boys Golf Tournament

Greater Miami Conference golf competition is amongst the very best in the state. This was in evidence at the SW District Boys Golf Tournament at the Beavercreek GC, which ultimately qualified teams and individuals to the OHSAA State Championships on Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th on OSU's Scarlet Course.  To make it to the State Championship competition, teams needed to be in the top three finishing places and individuals moving on needed to be in the top three spots not on qualifying team individuals.

When the dust settled on the SW District Tournament, the Mason Comet boys team captured 2nd place team honors, closely followed by 3rd place Lakota East Thunderhawks.  Both of these high powered programs now qualify as teams to the OHSAA State Championships.

Fairfield sophomore Spencer Curran qualified as the lone GMC individual with a score of 75 for his 18 hole total.
