With a quality depth carrying the day, the Mason girls cross country team placed all five runners in the top 8 finishers to walk away with the GMC crown.  Breaking a two-year run by Lakota East, the Comets tallied only 30 points to best a much improved Oak Hills contingent which finished with a very respectable 52 points.  The Oak Hills resurgence notably overtook two-time defending champion Lakota East by a single point at 53 points.  Race individual honors went to Lakota East's running sensation Carly Spletzer with a winning time of 18:12.8, a 26.9 second margin over emerging talent Alyssa Hammond of Oak Hills (18:39.7).

Team scores were: Mason 30, Oak Hills 52, East 53, Sycamore 110, Fairfield 181, West 195, Princeton 205, Colerain 209, and Middletown 219.
