Jake Biehle

Lakota West - Senior
Basketball

Jake was the Firebirds leading scorer this week pouring in 37 points combined in two home wins over GMC opponents. On Tuesday he tallied 11 points against Middletown, and on Friday he scored a team leading 26 points in the win over Princeton. Twenty-six points is the highest single game total scored by any Firebird this season. Biehle was also the teams co-rebounding leader in Friday's game


Nevie Rice

Lakota West - Senior
Swimming

Nevie won the 200 yard individual medley race at Friday's Tri-Match at Mason. In so doing she swam the fastest time in that event that had been recorded by any female Firebird during the current season. Rice is currently the only Lakota West swimmer to hold team top time marks in as many as four individual events.


Markayla Sherman

Princeton - Senior
Basketball

Markayla had a game high score against Lakota East with 26 points. Markayla was 4 of 7 from the three point line, and a perfect 4 for 4 with free throws.


Alan Brockman

Princeton - Senior
Bowling

Alan leads the team with with a high average of 204.7 which is 1.6 point shy of setting a new school record. Last week he bowled a high two game series of 503.


Ryan Robinson

Hamilton - Senior
Basketball

Ryan has been the heart and soul of Big Blue basketball this season. Recently, he erupted for 30 points at Harrison, 25 Vs. Lakota East, and 37 (a career high) Vs. St. Xavier. He has been a double digit scorer in every game this season but two. Ryan also leads the GMC in many statistical categories. He is enrolled in college prep classes and has received a scholarship offer to play basketball at Berea College.


Cameron Foy

Sycamore - Senior
Diving

Cameron capped off his senior season by winning his last meet. Cameron finished the season 1st overall in the GMC.


Amy Bitzer

Sycamore - Senior
Cheerleading

Amy is a key member of the cheer squad. She steps into a leadership role often by organizing events for the squad. Amy is also very involved in school and a member of student council, especially playing a key role in organizing the Hoops for Hope events.


Daria Bentley

Fairfield - Senior
Basketball

“Daria has been consistent all year and last week she led our Lady Indians with 30 points, 5 steals, 2 blocks, 14 rebounds, and 6 assists in 2 games. Great leader and team player."


Jabari Thomas

Fairfield - Freshman
Wrestling

Jabari has had quite an impressive freshman season. He has over 20 victories and has placed in every tournament.


Sean Merritt

Mason - Senior
Bowling

Sean bowled the 2nd 300 game in school history this past week at Crossgate Lanes. Sean's effort helped his team to match the best total in the city for the past 10 years. His teammates followed Sean's leadership and set a school and city wide record.


Rachel Snow

Mason - Senior
Bowling

Rachel is one of two team captains for the girls bowling team. Rachel is a great leader and morale booster. She always comes through for the team when they need a strike or a spare


Ali Gehr

Lakota East - Senior
Bowling

Ali is a 3-year starter on the varsity team. She has worked hard to improve her game and has become a leader for the Hawks bowlers. The highlight of the season for her was when she was high bowler and led the team to victory over district rival Lakota West.


Daniel Laflesche

Lakota East - Senior
Bowling

Daniel is a three year starter. He has worked hard to develop his two handed style and has become a team leader. The second half of the season he has poured it on raising his average to nearly 190.
