> Josh was the Firebirds and the games leading scorer totaling 11 points in a 41-13 win over Middletown on Friday. Laine made 5 of 5 extra point kicks and also made 2 of 2 field goal attempts with his field goal kicks splitting the uprights from 39 yards and 42 yards out.


Maddy Prohaska

Lakota West - Junior
Soccer

Maddy was credited with a shutout in the 2-0 regional championship win over Loveland on Saturday at Princeton. She stopped 6 shots on goal and organized West defenses which thwarted 6 corner kicks. This was only the second time the Tigers had been shutout this season.


Maria Kaylor

Princeton - Senior
Cross Country

. Maria finished 3rd in the OHSAA State Cross Country Meet on Saturday. Her time of 17.51.7 set a new Princeton school record (previous record held by the 2011 Champion Claudia Saunders). Congratulations Maria!


Paris Johnson

Princeton - Senior
Football

Paris has recently made the transition to be a two-way player for the Vikings playing on both offensive and defensive lines. Last week Paris was also named the Penn Station Athlete of the Month and received his nomination to play in The All-American Bowl. Paris will be graduating in December and attending Ohio State University.


James Schmidt

Oak Hills - Junior
Cross Country

James completed in the cross country state championship race on Saturday. At the start of the race he got jostled around quite a bit and ended up stuck in a dense group of runners. Despite the rough start, James didn't give up and passed 25 guys in the last mile, to achieve 77th place out of 186 runners. This race was great experience and had prepared him for his race here next year!
