Athletes Of The Week

Week:

Craig Smith

Junior, Colerain Baseball

Craig solidified himself as our leadoff hitter and right fielder. He's a dynamic player with speed, power and athleticism. During the last week, Craig is hitting .312, 5H, 2B, 2 3B, HR, 4RBI, 4R and SB. On the mound .2IP, 1K, and 0 runs allowed all season.


Olivia Woodson

Junior, Colerain Softball

Olivia had an outstanding week as she batted .500 for the Lady Cards. At Middletown, she almost hit a cycle as she blasted a home run, double, and single with 3 RBI. She also leads the team in runs scored with 18.


Peyton Davis

Junior, Hamilton Baseball

Peyton, a junior, is a member of the baseball team. In Peyton's last 3 appearances on the mound for the Big Blue, he has only allowed 3 earned runs and 6 hits, while striking out 5. He has pitched in 11 games this season and is third on the team in strikeouts. In an unusual category, called the WHIP(walks plus hits in innings pitched) Peyton has a great 1.355 average, second on the team. The best way to look at this statistic is that Peyton keeps runners off base when he is on the mound. It is great to see Peyton back on the baseball field after taking a year off.


Asher Oseguera

Senior, Hamilton Volleyball

Asher, a senior, is a member of the boys volleyball team. Asher had a great regular season for the Big Blue. He was second on the team in kills, and 1st on the team in digs. He had an 85% serving average. In the GMC he was in the top 15 in assists with 64 and the top 20 in service aces with 21. Asher was a great leader and teammate all season.


Landyn Pope

Junior, Hamilton Track

Landyn, a junior, is a member of the track team. At the Blue Heaven home track meet last week, Landyn won the 200M dash and took second in the 100M dash. He was also on the 2nd place finishing 4X100 relay team. At the Ross track meet 2 weeks ago he won the 100M dash. He currently has the 8th best time in the GMC in the 200M dash at 22.88 and his time of 11.02 in the 100M dash is the 4th best in the league. Landyn has cut time all season and should score well at the GMC tourney this week.


Emili Schappacher

Sophomore, Hamilton Softball

Emili, a sophomore, is a member of the softball team. Emili has been awesome for the Big Blue all season. She has recorded 155 strikeouts in 114.2 innings pitched which led the GMC. She had a 2.14 ERA, which was top 4 in the league. Emili also led the league in wins with 12. At the plate she is batting almost .400 which is in the top 30 of the GMC and she ranks in the top 15 in RBI's. Emili is a well rounded softball player, who just keeps getting better.


Cooper Corcoran

Freshman, Lakota West Lacrosse

Cooper led his team to a dominant 16-4 victory over the Highlanders, scoring an impressive 4 goals for the Firebirds.


Natalie Jordon

Senior, Lakota West Softball

Firebirds' Natalie dominated at the plate, going 2-for-3 and driving in 5 RBIs, including a home run, to lead her team to a convincing 17-2 victory over the Middies.


Leila Johnson

Junior, Middletown Softball

Leila continues to hit home runs and break records. She hit her fourth home run of the season and 11th career, which sets a new Middletown career home run record.


Landon Keeton

Sophomore, Middletown Tennis

Landon Keeton and Austin Roberts won the first match of their careers in the doubles bracket of the GMC tournament on Thursday, defeating Hamilton 8-1.

Presley Pennekamp

Junior, Oak Hills Track

Presley completed a very difficult 4 event day at Best of the West. She ran the 100m, 4x2, 4x1 and 200 in which she placed 3rd, 1st, 1st, 3rd. This is a combination of events that isn't easy to pull off. Presley's 4x1 relay team broke the Oak Hills School record which stood since 2002.


Dakota Randazzo

Junior, Oak Hills Track

Dakota a massive personal best high jump by 6 inches to achieve a mark of 6'2" at Best of the West. He placed 3rd with this effort. Dakota is a very hard worker who has overcome a lot to get to where he is now.


Daniel Soto Miranda

Junior, Oak Hills Tennis

Daniel Sota Miranda also helped secure 5th place in the GMC's alongside his partner Jacob Wilson. Sota has pushed himself so much this week in preparation for the sectionals tournament.


Audrey Swagler

Senior, Oak Hills Lacrosse

Audrey is our leader and star defender on our team this year! She has plenty of stats to prove her presence, coming up with ground balls and causing turnovers in crucial game scenarios. She is a very vocal leader on our defense, and she has continued to adapt to this new field position this year. She will continue to be a crucial team member through Senior Night and tournament play.


Jacob Wilson

Junior, Oak Hills Tennis

Jacob Wilson pushed himself this week in doubles helping lead our team to a 5th place finish in GMC's. Jacob always comes dialed in for practice and was a very supportive teammate this week.


Allie Borregard

Junior, Sycamore Softball

Allie led the way this week going 6-10 with 5 R, 6 RBI, 3 2B, 1 3B to lead the Aves to victories over Princeton and Lakota West.
