Athletes Of The Week
Josie GabrielColerain - Senior
Josie has led the team for each of our first three races. He ran a personal best time of 18:00 at Loveland and is poised to drop much more time as the season goes on.
Ella RaynorColerain - Sophomore
In her first season on the team, Ella has shown a very strong competitive drive and led the team for the first three weeks. She has dropped time each week.
Paris HarrisPrinceton - Junior
Paris had a match clinching win at singles over Fairfield 6-2, 6-3 to allow a team score of 3-2
Caryn GoinsPrinceton - Senior
For the week Caryn had 2 goals and 1 assist. 1st goal scored against Middletown and 1 asst in Middletown game. She had 1 goal in the game vs. Roger Bacon. Dominant and aggressive player in the midfield. Total of 4 shots on goal all weekend.
Anas LuqmonPrinceton - Senior
Anas had 7 total tackles and 3 sacks in the Vikings' loss to Lakota West.
Bre BoyleMiddletown - Sophomore
Bre Boyle had another outstanding weekend. She took 1st place (20:31) at the Troy Twilight Invitational. Bre has a very bright future on the trails!
Noah LockeMiddletown - Senior
Noah Locke had an outstanding showing Saturday night at the Troy Twilight Invitational. Noah raced to a 3rd place finish while running a PR of 16:23 over the 5k course. Congratulations Noah!!
Ethan MassetSycamore - Senior
Ethan Masset is a varsity runner, but took the ACT in the A.M. and was unable to run in the varsity race at Mason on Saturday. However, once he completed the ACT test he showed his dedication to the program by running in the later Grade 11 / 12 JV race and placed FIRST! His support of others, leadership within the program, and dedication, make him a vital member of the team.
Peyton HarrisFairfield - Junior
“Peyton was our team's medalist with a 44-42 (86) in the Best of the West Tournament. She had her best career round as a varsity player.”
Kavi BivinsFairfield - Junior
“Kavi led the way on defense this past Friday night, as we notched our 1st win over Oak Hills 34-14 at home. He ended the night with 10 tackles, a tackle for loss and a sack. He also scored the first touchdown of the evening giving us an early 7-0 lead that we never relinquished.”
Erykah CornettOak Hills - Junior
Erykah is a Junior Captain for the Highlanders. She helped her team this week get two big wins at home. She scored 2 goals and added 3 assists in the two games. Erykah is a multi-sport athlete(Girls' Basketball) and a 3-year Varsity player who has been extremely dangerous up top. Not only can she score, but she can also create assists to help her Highlanders win.
Ryan WilliamsonOak Hills - Junior
Ryan led the Highlanders golf team with a 79 at the Hadley Inv. this past Sunday.
Eric DewOak Hills - Freshman
In his third high school cross country race, Eric had a big breakthrough, running a personal best by almost a minute. His performance suggests that he could be a varsity contributor as a freshman!
Peyton BennettOak Hills - Junior
During this week's games, Peyton came through big for us. She tallied 22 total kills and 2 solo blocks.
Jadon TurnerOak Hills - Sophomore
Jadon scored both goals to lead Oak Hills in their 2-0 victory over Hamilton. Jadon is a sophomore and is leading Oak Hills in scoring for the season. Academically, Jadon has a 4.0 GPA.
Bryce MeyerOak Hills - Sophomore
Bryce Meyer recorded the first shutout of his high school varsity career in a 2-0 win at Hamilton. Bryce has played well all season, making key saves in a number of games this season. Bryce currently has a 3.86 GPA.
Gabby OsbornOak Hills - Sophomore
Gabby earned her fourth win of the season with a win over Middletown this past week. Gabby is currently 4-0 this season with various doubles partners. Gabby currently has a 4.0 GPA and is involved in ASL club.
Erin KumlerOak Hills - Senior
Erin has worked hard through the off-season & her efforts are paying off! Each week she has improved on her average. Her skills & scores have greatly contributed to our winning season. This is all while taking AP classes & serving on the board for NHS.
Eva HensleyOak Hills - Sophomore
Eva won the Troy Twilight Invitational this past weekend running a time of 18:55. She helped her team to a 2nd place team finish out of 14 teams. She is currently ranked #2 in the GMC.
Aden MillerLakota West - Senior
Aden was the anchor on defense with 11 total tackles. Miller racked up 6 solos and 5 assist helping shut out Princeton in a 24-0 victory.
Katie SchwarberLakota West - Senior
Katie played a big part in beating Lakota East in a 5 game set with 13 kills, 26 digs and 1 ace served.
Jocey WillisLakota East - Junior
Jocey has led the Lakota East women’s cross country team in each of her three races in 2021. After struggling a bit in her first two meets, Jocey cut an entire minute off of her previous season-best, to place 5th overall at the Troy Twilight Invitational. Her time for the 5k (3.1-mile) race was 19:41.5, a season-best. Jocey continues to get stronger in workouts and appears to be on track to break her lifetime best performance of 18:56 this Fall.
Will TenoeverLakota East - Senior
Will was the first Lakota East Cross Country runner to dip below 17 minutes this Fall when he ran a 16:53.1 at the Lebanon Running Warrior Invitational. That performance earned him 7th place overall in the Varsity event. Will’s lifetime best performance is 16:36 from his 2020 campaign, and he looks poised to overcome that mark very soon. Will’s next competition will be the Milford Invitational on August 18th.
Macie RadcliffeMason - Senior
Macie has been plagued with some nagging injuries this year. She has battled back through them and has returned to be one of our top Comet runners. She showed tremendous grit and determination upon her return at the Mason Invitational, leading the team to a 2nd place finish overall. She has been a great leader by her positive can-do spirit and her willingness to embrace the hard work that the team demands. Macie has been an integral part of our success this year, and we look forward to her meeting and exceeding her goals.
Aiden AmshoffMason - Senior
Aiden has led the Comets as an able team captain, helping guide the younger athletes and making sure our training is moving along well. He is a great example in his work ethic, teamwork, and race day toughness. Aiden has led the Comets to team victories in both of our meets this year so far this year; finishing fourth at the Loveland Invitational and fifth at the Mason Invitational.
