Joan Caudill

Sophomore, Colerain Cross Country

Joan led the junior varsity team at Centerville's Saturday Night Lights meet with a new personal best of 24:35 dropping three minutes off of her personal best.

Volleyball Team

Senior, Colerain Volleyball

The women's volleyball team finished the week 2-1. A 3-set sweep of Indian Hills started the week. Then on Saturday, they went down 0-2 before storming back to sweep the final three matches to pick up the league win against Lakota West.

Ava Dickenson

Freshman, Lakota East Cross Country

Ava became the 28th fastest girl in Lakota East history over the 5k (3.1-mile) distance when she ran 19:56 at the Princeton Invitational. That effort placed her 7th overall out of 95 runners. Dickenson then came back and placed 2nd overall in the Kings Tri-Meet in a field of 56 runners the following weekend. She will be competing in the G.M.C. Championships next at Voice of America Metropark on October 15th.

Reily Meyer

Freshman, Lakota East Cross Country

Reilly became the 33rd fastest Thunderhawk of all time over the 5k (3.1-mile) distance when he ran 16:56 at the Milford Invitational. That placed Meyer 15th overall in a field of 150 runners. A couple of weeks later, at the King's Duals, Reilly improved that time to 16:55 to place 2nd overall in a field of 48 runners. His next race will be at the G.M.C. Championships at Voice of America Metropark on October 15th.

Will Henderson

Sophomore, Lakota West Soccer

Will scored the game-winning goal in a GMC battle to beat Colerain 1-0.

Lauren Mang

Senior, Lakota West Cross Country

Lauren won the Lakota West-Sycamore dual at the Kings Duals meet with a time of 19:42.80 to lead Lakota West to a team title.

Braeden Fedders

Senior, Mason Cross Country

Braeden has held down key positions on the #1 ranked Mason boys cross-country team. He has competed solidly in all four of the Comets races. He has been anywhere from 3rd to 6th man on the team. During his four years as a Comet, Braeden has had good success but also endured injuries and disappointment. Those experiences have toughened Braeden into one of the key pieces of the Comet's run for another state title. Braeden is quite successful in the classroom as well and has a great future ahead of him.

Grace McKay

Senior, Mason Cross Country

Grace is having an unbelievable year. She gets better every race and has a great attitude. This past weekend she had a new best time and is now one of Mason's top 10 runners of all time. She placed in the top 25 of the prestigious Nike Twilight race and helped her team place third overall. Grace is a leader both as a runner and with her humble approach to hard work and discipline.

Tanner Back

Senior, Middletown Soccer

Tanner Back scored the PK to knock off Oak Hills. He is 6th in the GMC in goals with 6. Tanner is also running cross country for the Middies.

Zach Johnson

Senior, Middletown Football

Zach Johnson got the shutout in the win over Oak Hills. He is currently 2nd in the GMC in Saves (82) and in Shoutouts (5.7). On Friday night he also scored 8 points in the win over Colerain for football. Zach hit 2 FG over 30 yards, and made 2 PAT's.

Grace Lampart

Senior, Middletown Cross Country

Grace Lampart raced to a huge 5k PR at the Saturday Night Lights cross country meet. Her time of 22:33 was a 51 second improvement.

DeMarco Powell

Senior, Middletown Football

DeMarco Powell had a touchdown reception in the historical win over Colerain. He is currently in the GMC Top 20 for receiving, with over 200 yards total on the season. Demarco is averaging over 12 yards per catch.

Gabrielle Kadakia

Senior, Oak Hills Tennis

Senior Gabrielle Kadakia got runner-up at the GMC tournament this past week. Gabrielle was the first person in school history to make it to the championship match of second singles. Gabrielle has won 79 total matches throughout her four years on varsity, which is the most wins since Oak Hills joined the GMC.

Presley Pennekamp

Sophomore, Oak Hills Soccer

Presley recorded 5 goals and 3 assists this past week in 2 games. Presley currently leads the GMC in Goals (16), Points (40) and 2nd in assists (8). Presley also takes 4 honors classes.

Grace Scheckel

Senior, Oak Hills Golf

Grace is a 3rd year varsity Senior who has improved her average by 7 points over her time on varsity. She is a 4.0 student in honors & AP classes & in the top 10% of her class. She's a leader & keeps the team calm & laughing to make golf enjoyable for all. Last week, she shot her personal best at BelWood Country Club to place as the 2nd place individual in the match.

Kellee Shay

Junior, Oak Hills Cross Country

Kellee won the Open race at the Centerville Night Lights meet on Saturday. The lead gator went the wrong way causing Kellee to lose her lead and she ended up running 200 meters out of the way. Despite that, Kellee persevered to come back and still win the race!

Paige Stockhoff

Junior, Oak Hills Volleyball

Paige had 17 assists against West Clermont, 14 assists against Talawanda and 19 assists against Middletown, with 14 aces total.

Alex Taft

Senior, Oak Hills Cross Country

Alex has been a varsity athlete on our team for 4 years now. His contributions to our squad have been numerous, both performance and leadership wise. Alex led the way for the Highlanders at Centerville Saturday Night Lights and helped the team to an 8th place finish out of 31 teams.

Melanie Kessler

Senior, Princeton Cross Country

Mel ran her season's best at the St. Xavier Invitational. She improved on her time by over a minute. She is running her best at the end of the season when it really counts.

Braylen Nies Williams

Sophomore, Princeton Soccer

Braylen played the best games of his season against West on Thursday and followed it up with a great game against Kings.

Sophi Roberts

Junior, Princeton Golf

Sophie had a low score on the team with a 56 on Monday in the Talawanda match.

Natalie Williams

Senior, Princeton Volleyball

Natalie had 33 serves with 5 aces and only 3 errors. 20 kills, 8 blocks and 10 digs for the week.

Brenden Waggoner

Senior, Sycamore Soccer

Brenden had the game winning goal against Fairfield with 44 seconds to lead the team to a 1-0 victory on the road. He is leading our team in goals and points this season.

Ashley Walker

Senior, Sycamore Volleyball

Senior, and 2 year captain, Ashley Walker has been a four year starter for Sycamore volleyball and just broke the school record for career kills in our GMC win over Fairfield. She currently has 861 career kills and hopes to reach 1000 by the end of the season! Ashley is a 6 rotation player and has been an instrumental part of the success Sycamore volleyball has had these past 4 years! Congratulations, Ashley!!
