Dalton had a great week for the Cardinals, with a pin vs Elder and an overtime win vs Little Miami.
Josh KirbySenior, Colerain Bowling
Josh has been one of our most consistent bowlers this year. Last week versus LaSalle Josh threw a 466 series with games of 255 and 211. Both his series and the 255 games were season highs.
Jake CastilloSophomore, Lakota East Bowling
Jake is having a strong season for the Thunderhawks. Jake has had three 200 or above games in the last two matches.
Sophia TombragelSenior, Lakota East Bowling
Sophia has improved her average every game this week. She has been a great leader for the girl's team.
Amanda BarnesSenior, Mason Basketball
Amanda has been tremendous for the Mason Girl's Basketball team the entire season. She does all the little things that allow her teammates to be most successful. Most importantly, Amanda leads by example.
Jack UllomSenior, Mason Basketball
Jack shows how he cares for his teammates with how he communicates with them and keeps things lighthearted, but when we need it, he can focus and motivate our group. He displays passion by choosing extra work on his skills and coming in early mornings to get better. He is a fierce competitor who looks to steal inches in games and practice. Jack also shows joy with how he shows love to his teammates and has a big smile on his face most of the time. Jack is an excellent student and a high-caliber athlete. His leadership is a big reason for our success. We love Jack!
Katlyn BoggsJunior, Middletown Bowling
Katlyn bowled a 369 series to lead the Middies over Sycamore. She is currently averaging a 156.5 average with a High Series of 369.
Taylor DanielsJunior, Middletown Basketball
Taylor had 11 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists in the win over Colerain. She currently ranks in the Top 20 in GMC for assists per game.
Joe ShawJunior, Middletown Bowling
Joe bowled a 382 series to lead the Middies over Sycamore. He is currently averaging a 169.7 average with a High Series of 412.
Jazz SimpsonSophomore, Middletown Wrestling
Jazz defeated a very tough competitor from Norwood to clinch the dual win for the Middies this past Friday. Jazz was 2-0 on the night with the wins over Norwood and Western Brown. Jazz has a varsity record of 8-4 with 1 pin on the season.
Erykah CornettSenior, Oak Hills Basketball
Erykah, a senior guard, scored 8 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished out 6 assists in a 50-18 win over Hamilton on Senior Night. She also had 8 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in a one-point loss to Mt. Healthy.
Kendall CrumSenior, Oak Hills Bowling
Senior Kendall Crum has only been a member of the girls bowling team for 2 years, but has made amazing progress in such a short time. She finished her 1st year on the Junior Varsity team with an average of 120 pins per game; this season, she is a member of the Varsity A team and has averaged more than 143 pins per game. This week, in the match with Lakota West, she rolled her new personal best game as a Highlander, a 187!
Caleb LogsdonSophomore, Oak Hills Wrestling
Caleb stepped up big during the dual vs. Little Miami last Friday night. He was able to get bonus points via a fall and help lead the varsity to a 36-33 Victory over Little Miami.
Keith McCallaSenior, Oak Hills Bowling
Keith helped the boys team stay undefeated in a win against Lakota West rolling a 478 series including a 277 game. Keith is currently in the top 15 in the GMC in average, and has been a leader on the team.
Kate McMullenSenior, Oak Hills Basketball
Kate, a senior forward, scored 9 points, grabbed 3 rebounds and had 2 assists in a 50-18 win over Hamilton on Senior Night. She also scored a team-high 11 points on 5-7 shooting, grabbed 4 rebounds and had 2 blocked shots in a loss to the No.1 rated team in the state, Mason.
Steven SandersSenior, Oak Hills Basketball
Steven, a multi-sport athlete (football, Basketball, Track), has been a strong inspiration in practice. Steven embraced his role of helping prepare our team for each game. He has enthusiasm and energy each practice and game. His team first attitude despite limited playing time is rare in today's athletic world.
Dawson WageJunior, Oak Hills Bowling
Dawson has stepped up to any challenge the team has asked of him this season. He rolled a 406 series at the JV lancer challenge this past weekend. Dawson has greatly improved his game since last year and is constantly getting better.
Suhani PrakashFreshman, Sycamore Swimming
Against Lakota East Suhani won both the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Freestyle events. She was also on the winning 200 Medley Relay and 200 Freestyle Relays. Earlier in the week against Milford she placed 1st place in the 200 Medley Relay and 2nd in the 50 Free. Suhani has shown great versatility and competitiveness in her first year of high school Swimming.
